“Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.” – Henry Ford
Ryan Austin became a self-starting entrepreneur from a young age. Instead of working for someone else during the summer months as a teen, he created his own jobs by founding various start-ups such as a window washing business and a mobile car detailing company.
In University, Ryan found that what he was getting out of a classroom setting wasn’t as valuable as the hands on experience. He therefore launched an online wholesaling company from his dorm room and left University to pursue his dreams. Smart but directionless, Ryan experimented with different business ventures before co-founding his latest endeavors SweeptoKeep.com; a contest marketing company that provides affordable turnkey contest solutions for businesses, and In.acuity; an events company that develops and delivers professional, high-quality training and development workshops around the World.
Prior to starting SweeptoKeep.com, Ryan served as Senior Vice President for an international media business that offers live events, online products and training courses. He was responsible for the start-up, development, design and execution of the Training Division in the Americas, which demonstrated outstanding success. His expertise includes building inside sales organizations, targeted to improving sales and strategic planning for new business acquisition.
A great believer that if you’re lucky enough to be successful, you have a responsibility to give back, Ryan’s interest lies in helping others – his main driving force for succeeding in business. He has been fortunate enough to have great mentors guiding him throughout his career and intends to pay it forward by helping others. Currently, he is involved in a number of different charities and advises other start-up companies and entrepreneurs.
Ryan currently lives in Toronto, Canada. Despite his busy schedule consisting of business, social and philanthropic commitments, Ryan is always on the lookout for great opportunities as an investor. When he does have time to relax, he enjoys staying active outdoors and spending time with his family, friends and dog.
